About Me

I am a Pacific Island arts & craft educator artist of Cook Island heritage, born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand and based in Limerick, Ireland. My parents are from the Cook Islands, and my creative practice is deeply rooted in Pacific Island cultural knowledge, storytelling, and hands-on art traditions.

I work across Samoan, Tongan, Maori, and Cook Island art forms, with a strong focus on MDF wood carving, Cook Islands tivaevae, lei making, and lavalava fabric printing.

Through my teaching, I aim to share Pacific Island art in a way that is respectful, accessible, and grounded in cultural integrity. I believe art in is not just decoration - it carries identity, ancestry, and community connection.

Living in Ireland, I enjoy creating cultural bridges by introducing Pacific Island arts to new audiences, while also providing a space for Pacific communities and art students to reconnect with or learn these practices. My courses are designed for beginners through to intermediate learners and focus on practical skills, cultural understanding, and creative confidence.
