About
Pacific Art Fale
I am a Pacific artist and educator of Cook Islands heritage, raised in Aotearoa New Zealand and now based in Ireland. My parents are from the Cook Islands . and a creative practice is grounded in Pacific Island cultural knowledge and lived experience.
I work across Samoan, Tongan, Maori, and Cook Islands art forms, with a strong focus on MDF wood carving, Cook Island tivaevae, lei making, and Pacific fabric printing.
Living in Ireland, I am passionate about creating cultural bridges through art - offering Pacific communities a space to reconnect and inviting Irish audiences to engage respectfully with Pacific Island Cultures.
My teaching style is practical, welcoming , and story-based, designed to build confidence and cultural understanding.
Cultural Acknowledgement
I acknowledgement the Pacific cultures and ancestors of Samoa, Tonga, Aotearoa Maori, and the Cook Islands.
I share these art practices as a Pacific Islander of Cook Islands heritage, raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, with deep respect for the communities, elders, and artists who have passed down this knowledge.
